The event took place on April 10, 2010, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and featured a headline bout between Anderson Silva and Demian Maia. The co-main was a lightweight bout between B.J. Penn and Frankie Edgar. Edgar won the bout via unanimous decision after the fifth and final round.
